So I have had in my head this idea for quite awhile around a full blown portal that is a destination site centering around high impact, high quality webisodes, as well as featuring other major content areas. The idea has been to convey the spirit and excitement of adventure in the world of productivity. I am in the process of writing up the site description and will be first taking it to my own Microsoft management and then if a no go here in a modified form elsewhere. The whole are of productivity and collaboration is an exciting one and one way or another I am going ahead with the effort.
To that ahead I have gone ahead and secured the URL productivityadventures.com, as well as set up a corresponding Twitter account @ProdAdventures.. My hope is to have a full blown SharePoint 2010 portal that delivers a regular infusion of content based around webisodes that feature an event, a geography, local community, local partners, a solution, as well as local fun and flavors. As I start writing it all up and fleshing out/developing the idea I will posting those plans here and I am hoping to get your feedback as I look to deliver a much different experience than is here on my blog. No my blog is not going away. I will still be posting here rapid fire as usual. The experience for Productivity Adventures is to be a much richer one both from an informational as well as entertainment level. I even and going to take up a new persona for the effort, though I don’t have a name yet. I can tell you the inspiration comes from one of my all time movie characters, Indiana Jones. The webisodes themselves look to be a combination of Jeff Corwin meets Tech meets Zane Lamprey meets meets SocialMedia meets TV meets ……. well me ;-)
So I look forward to your feedback and let the Adventures begin!!
