I love to see great work getting highlighted and a recent post on MSDN brought a smile to my face. SharePoint guru and author Woodrow Windischman, wrote a great book titled “Professional Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007.” Microsoft MSDN has in turn published a section of his book that actually highlights something that he did as a part of a BackSeat Driving video with me a ways back (in fact it was my first one!) So for all of you looking for something cool to do that will help teach you how to easily leverage external data within SharePoint and have some fun learning check out the first BackSeat Driving with Michael video featuring Woodrow and then check out the great posting from his book out on MSDN titled “Advanced Data Access: External Data and More.”
