Get Yourself Featured In My Backseat!

Since I moved my blog to its new location I have been pinged a bunch by folks asking where are all my BackSeat driving episodes? I am going to start slowly re-posting some of them here but more importantly if you are someone doing interesting things with SharePoint, are an ISV or partner with a cool solution, etc. and want to get it exposed here (as well as the possibility of cross exposure on the official Because It’s Everybody’s Business site or official Windows Phone blog depending on the content) then let’s do a new BackSeat Driving video together. I have directions on how to get featured in one here and would love to showcase you and your work/solution/ideas.

So what are you waiting for? Jump in the “backseat” and let’s ride! ;-)

Video: MichaelOn The Go - Web... er...Wed 2.0
Update: I got a couple of notes from folks asking about the UStream portion so I am including a link to the primary recorded piece. It starts about 5 minutes before the ceremony so you have to be patient. The laptop with Camcorder was situated on their back rear deck looking out ove the patio area below. You wil also see 2 additional links to other recordings to the wedding. Clip 2 starts during a Bosnian song/dance and video 3 continues during the  reception.

The effects of Web 2.0, multimedia, and socialmedia can be felt everywhere these days. This was very apparent in the case of the wedding this past week between my lovely niece Sarah and her betrothed Emir. A beautiful wedding between two beautiful young people the effect and use of Web 2.0 was apparent from start to finish. In this episode of Michael on the Go I discuss some of the uses of present day web technology to facilitate, deliver, and capture their wedding as it serves as a great example of things that can be done in other significant life events. Oh yeah, and in case you were wondering, the wedding was great, bride and groom were awesome, and yes, Mikey danced his little behind off that night.

Video: BackSeat Driving With Michael – Xbox Gaming Discussion At SharePoint Saturday

Today's BackSeat Driving with Michael video marks the last of the special edition videos from SharePoint Saturday Charlotte. Earlier in the week you will recall I posted a video featuring gaming guru Tiffany as we talked about the use of Xbox Live as a means of building community. In this episode I dive a little deeper with a couple of very passionate, youthful, gamers as we motor around the Microsoft Charlotte offices parking lot. They are two great young gentlemen and I was a pleasure to meet them. They are two cool cats and I hope you like listening to them as much as I did. smile_shades
